Nursery Painting Complete

Jared finished painting the nursery earlier this week!  I did help a little because we were able to open all the windows in that room.  We also bought a nice fuzzy rug, and moved our old dresser into the room.  That will also serve as the changing table.  Now we need a crib, and the rocking chair.

Here are some pics!  The beautiful red quilt was made by Mom.  Love it!

Flooring Complete

We finally have our house back!  The floors were finished up yesterday afternoon, and we absolutely love them.  Below is a before and after of the back room.  Take a look back at this post to get a reminder of what it looked like before, and what we went through with that room.  Yikes.

Big Boy

I got to see our baby again yesterday!  The midwives wanted to make sure my Crohn's Disease hadn't affected the growth of the baby even thought I told them it hadn't.  Turns out I was right!  He's already over 5 lbs, in the 73rd percentile for size, and healthy.  He's going to be a big baby, and I can't wait to kiss those lips!

Flooring and Belly

90% chance Jared is going to start painting the nursery tonight!  I can't wait!  I will help with some of the details once the fumes clear out a bit.  Unfortunately that means I'm stuck cleaning while he paints.

We are now looking to get hardwood flooring installed before the baby gets here.  I really hope we find a contractor that does a good job.

Here is a pic, I am currently 30 weeks and 5 days.  Just over 75% done cooking the bun!

Baby Room Paint

We got the paint samples on the nursery walls! I love them all, I hope we start painting next weekend.

Entertainment Center

We got a new entertainment center a month or so ago.  Jared put it together.  It is so much nicer than what we had going before.

Before.

First shelf is in.

TV stand is in.

We're good to go!

Astros v. Reds

I was able to get some tickets for the Astros v. Reds game yesterday.  It was a good time!

Here was our view.  The seats were pretty darn close to the seats we had for the Brewers game!

Jared watching the game.

Me, probably about to ask a question about the game.

People behind us were having some sort of a painting party.

Chicken Paprikash

One of my favorite recipes from my Mom is Chicken Paprikash.  So good.

The Pack 'n Play!

We bought our first big baby thing!  It's about time, the baby is due in 74 days.  I can't believe it!  We bought a Pack 'n Play with a bassinet and changing table on top.  It will be great for travel, and those first few months.  Jared was off doing some business school alumni stuff, so I put it together myself.

In the box.

Pulled everything out, Sundog is curious.

The bassinet is done!

The finished product.  I can't wait to use it!

Shawn's Wedding

Quite a while back, over Memorial weekend, one of Jared's closet friends from high school (Shawn) got married.  The best part, he got married in Wisconsin!  It was really great to take a trip up there.  Shawn's wife, Kelly, is from Barneveld, WI, which is just outside of Madison.  My parents took a day trip down to visit with me a bit!

The one and only time my morning sickness caused me to actually upchuck was on this trip.  Seven hours without food combined with winding country roads lined with fertilized farmland was more than I could handle.  A good time was had by all!

Here are Jared and Shawn right before the wedding.

Jared and Eric are standing up in the wedding.  I had to zoom in a bit.

Shawn and Kelly, getting married!

Just married!

After the wedding we got on a big party bus that took us to some fun local bars.

And here are Jared and Eric with the bride.  Good times!

September Austin Visit

This past weekend we went to Austin.  This will probably be our last visit before we're going to visit the Bechle boy!  I can't believe it!  It was really a great visit.  They have done a nice job with their new apartment, and the nursery is looking good!

We enjoyed some appetizers, and the husbands enjoyed some drinks at the Oasis on Lake Travis.

We had dinner at a nice French restaurant, Justine's.  Loved it!  We had to wait a bit to be seated.  Jared and Nate were pretty serious.

And here is a view from the top of my belly.

Vetty and Joel Visit

Several months ago Vetty and Joel visited!  I didn't take many pics, but here is one of the three pregnant sisters. You can tell this was a while back, all of our bellies are quite a bit bigger now.

Brewer's Game

A couple months back Domi and Nate came to Houston for a Brewer's game.  The game wasn't so great for the Brewer's, but we had a good time anyway.  Jared's brother Josh was in town as well.

Here is Domi, enjoying some bubbly water before we head to the game.

This was our view.

Jared and Rex enjoying the game.

Here are Nate, Domi, and Josh.  The sun was very very bright!
