My Dog's Breeds

I had a DNA test done on Sundog and Tancred (Canine Heritage Breed Test).

Tancred was born at the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County, so I have seen his father dog, and he looked 100% pitbull. I never saw his mother dog, but was told she was a pit mix. I am not surprised by his results.

Primary (50% or greater): NONE

Secondary: American Staffodshire Terrier

Tertiary: Bulldog (didn't say American or English) and Greyhound

I found Sundog on the street so I never saw either of his parent dogs. He looks just like Cairn Terrier. I have had Cairn owners come up to me and ask me about him. I am very surprised by his results, to the point where I think they might have mixed up his sample!

Primary (50% or greater): NONE

Secondary: Chow chow and Siberian Husky

Tertiary: German Short Haired Pointer and Shih Tzu

The Ragin' Cajun

Last night Jared and I went to dinner at the Ragin' Cajun with some of his XOM friends. A good time was had by all!

Jared got oysters. I'm not a fan, but next time he gets them, I'll try one.

We also got their wings. Delicious!

We got a full bucket of crawfish. It tasted good, but the crawfish were TINY! I also think we should have gotten more that two potatoes. Mmm. Potatoes. Also, I out peel Jared about 6 to 1.

There was a lot of clean-up involved! The stain stick was passed around, and it took quite a while to get the seasoning off our nails!

Socks: Day 1

I want to start knitting again. I have completed two scarves, but there is not much use for them here in Houston. I have decided to make socks!

Here is the yarn and pattern. I was in a good mood at this point.

Here is what I had after 3 hours. Not in a good mood anymore. The yarn kept slipping off, I kept knitting onto the wrong needle, etc. Hopefully next attampt I'll have more to show for it!

Our Wedding Videos

I am now mourning the loss of our wedding videos. I wanted to post a few today, but they are not on either of our computers, our external hard drives, or the camera. Very sad.

UPDATE:
We found the wedding videos about 6 months after this post! They were on Jared's school computer for some odd reason. Neither of us have any recollection of putting them there. Thank goodness though!

DC Trip: Playing in the Creek

Alaric and the fam live in McLean, VA, which is just outside of DC. The neighborhood is beautiful, Alaric, Lucas, and I took a couple walks. We had a fun walk through this creek.

We weren't planning on walking through the creek as long as we did, so I had to head back for my purse and our shoes. Here you can see Alaric and Lucas way ahead of me.

I finally got to use my camera's underwater feature!

There is a deep area where some kids built a rope swing. Lucas would swing, but wouldn't let go.

Lucas watches his Daddy swing. Too bad I was traveling, I had no clothes to change into! I swung but didn't let go.

The Trips are Over

I'm home! Woohoo! 3 hours earlier than I thought I'd get here, but 7 hours after I was supposed too. Not bad!

Good Luck?

I got a seat on my standby flight, so unless we have another delay *knock on wood* I should be home around 5. Yeehaw! I walked a couple miles at the airport, and ate at TGIF. I am glad I got to spend those extra couple hours with Alaric and his boy.

Meal Voucher

I get $10 off my meal for my troubles today. I am on standby for a flight that would get me home around 5, but it is over-booked. I will most likely be home around 8. I just found out Jared's flight might be cancelled. Bah.

Flight Delay

My flight was delayed 3 hours so I went back to visit with Alaric and Lucas. They moved almost everyone off the flight, maybe I should have stayed! My flight doesn't leave Atlanta until 6:00 PM.
